RescueTime is a small yet useful utility that will help you monitor and control how you spend your time, in order to show your productivity by means of statistic graphics that will be displayed on a web interface. That is, the program records all your activities and sends that information to the main web server (rescuetime.com) where later, you will be able to check the results.
The first thing you have to do is create a free account on the website www.rescuetime.com. After that, you will be able to download and install the small program. Once this is done, you will notice a small system tray icon similar to a cross. This will work in background mode, and will monitor each of the activities you perform in front of your PC.
On your created account you will be able to set up your activities by choosing the ones you spend most of your time on, and which of them represent productivity or entertainment.
After a couple of hours, if you enter to your dashboard on your account, you will see a complete report about how you are spending your time, on which programs, websites, etc., everything represented by colorful statistic graphics.
Finally, this useful application can be used freely for personal use, but if you want to monitor people of your work, you can use the business or enterprise version.
